Tom and Lois Bergeron’s Love Story
Like most of his life, Bergeron has kept his relationship out of the media and only mentions his wife once in a while. The couple married in 1982 and share two children. They welcomed their daughter Jessica in 1988, and in 2018, the proud father shared a picture of his daughter appearing with him on Boston TV at five months.
In 1990, Bergeron and his wife expanded their family and had another daughter, Samantha. But before building his beautiful family, Lois gave him an ultimatum.
The TV host confessed that he had a lot of anger issues. His anger was usually directed at objects, so he would punch into walls and cover them with posters. But one day, something came over him again, and this time, he punched a car. Lois told him that he needed to work on his anger before they could even begin planning a future together.
During one of his interviews, the father of two credited his wife for helping him address his anger problems, and in 2017, he proudly said, “I have not damaged any sheetrock in 35 years…”That was not the only big thing Lois had done in his life. When the “Hollywood Squares” star lost his father in 2015, his wife broke the news to him.
When the call came, he remembered being in his “Dancing with the Stars” dressing room. Bergeron’s father was 81 when he passed, and the host dedicated one of the episodes to him and proudly revealed that his father never missed an episode.
With over four decades of marriage, the game show host still does not see life without his wife. He is confident that they are better together than alone.
Despite how private he is about his marriage, Bergeron shares a few family moments with his wife and family. In one photo, Lois appeared in the background along with their two daughters and other family members. The father of two also shared a glimpse of their family vacation with everyone posing on a boat. This time he also included a few pictures with his wife, and one has them smiling with Bergeron’s arm around Lois. He captioned the carousel, “A perfect family day on the ocean.”
