Hollywood icon Jennifer Lopez, 54, has built up a formidable reputation as a hugely successful star in the entertainment industry. Not only does her illustrious career include chart-topping hits, but she has also gained prominent success as a talented actress.As her incredible career has soared to new heights, the “Hustlers” star’s fame has skyrocketed to the point where she is recognized for her talents worldwide. Despite having a somewhat unparalleled level of recognition, Lopez has maintained her humility over the years.
In fact, the star has set the record straight on a big misconception about her that some tend to believe. Contrary to popular opinion, she may have wealth and fame, but Lopez is not a diva or mean. Of who she really is, she clarified:
“…I’m a real girls’ girl and I love hanging out with my besties and things like that. As unusual as my life is, I’m very normal and kind of down to earth.”
Lopez is not the only one who has described herself this way. A while ago, while talking about the then-new movie “The Back-Up Plan,” the singer’s co-star, Alex O’Loughlin, said the following about her:
“She’s such a cool person. She’s so down-to-earth, she’s so grounded. It’s just that you hear so much about someone and there’s a curiosity there, but yeah, [I was surprised at] how normal she is.”
Even her ex-fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, praised his former partner’s gracious and genuine nature in a past interview. He went on to marvel at how Lopez can stay so level-headed as a normal person and mom while being such a megastar, citing her humility as a superpower.
Her ability to stay grounded also applies to other facets of her life, like when she and her hubby, Ben Affleck, had a non-lavish, down-to-earth wedding ceremony in Las Vegas. According to a media outlet, pretty much all that was included on the day was two dresses and a chapel.
Lopez has always made it known how real she stays even when her money stacks up, especially when it comes to her music. One particular song where she speaks to this is her classic hit, “Jenny from the Block”:

Both opted for casual wear, with Lopez sporting light-wash denim jeans, a cozy turtleneck sweater, and platform heels, while her beau adorned blue jeans, a grey t-shirt, and Nike shoes. When fans saw footage of the stars bargain shopping, many praised Lopez for doing ordinary things:
“I loved that Jlo aka Mrs Affleck does normal everyday things with Mr Ben Affleck.”
At some point, Lopez’s doting husband, Affleck, was seen carrying their bags, and fans commended him for his chivalrous ways.
This outing marks the third time Lopez has been seen at the same flea market.
