Actor, comedian, and screenwriter Jim Carrey is a Canadian-American who has made a considerable impact on the entertainment business. In Newmarket, Ontario, on January 17, 1962, Carrey was born into a working-class family. He showed an early interest in comedy.

Carrey was reportedly selling the Brentwood home he had lived in for the previous 30 years for a cool $28.9 million in February 2023. A five-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion with high ceilings, large windows that let in natural light, and rich hardwood flooring is part of the sprawling estate.
A six-burner stove, double ovens, and a large island that doubles as a breakfast bar are among the modern appliances in the chef’s kitchen. The mansion also has an art deco-style home theater.
Aside from its stunning interior, the home has a lushly landscaped backyard perfect for relaxing and entertaining. The main house is flanked by amenities such as a waterfall pool, hot tub, tennis court, sauna, and vegetable garden on a total of 12,700 square feet.

Carrey said that the house had been “a place of enchantment and inspiration” for him for more than “30 very creative and prosperous years,” but it was time for a change.
“Every night, the owls sang me lullabies, and every morning, I sipped my cup of joe with the hawks and hummingbirds, under a giant grandfather pine,” he told the newspaper.
“It’s been a sanctuary for me for three decades, but I don’t spend as much time there now, and I want someone else to enjoy it as much as I have,” he said, quoting David Bowie’s song “Cha cha cha cha… Changes!”
