In the summer of 1975, photographer Nicholas Nixon asked his wife Bev to take a picture with her three sisters. Not satisfied with the result, he decided the next year to photograph them again.
And that’s how it all started.
In the next 40 years, Nicholas took a photo of the sisters, documenting them year after year when they grow up, get bigger, change. The result is pure beauty.
The project grew into a story of love, family, deep friendship, and the amazing relationship these sisters share.
