Researchers found a spice that fights Alzheimer’s and dementia and improves memory by 75%!

Rosemary is great for seasoning meals as decoration, and causes our house to smell wonderful, but it has an additional benefit and these are great news for people who suffer from dementia and/or Alzheimer’s disease.

Researchers discovered recently that the popular spice does wonders for memory loss and the beginning of mental slowdown related to these diseases.

Marc Moss and his team of researchers have studied the effects of the odor emitted from Rosemary oils on the brain. What they found completely shocked them!

There was a positive correlation between the scent of Rosemary to an improve in cognitive ability – in particular, conserving memory! With a small sniff of Rosemary, participants in the study were able to improve their score in a variety of visual and memory tasks.

In fact, another study conducted to prove whether Alzheimer’s and dementia can receive benefits from the smell of Rosemary. Not surprisingly, this study also found a positive correlation with an improve in cognitive abilities by the patients.

In the results of the study they noted:

“All participants showed significant improvement in Cognitive ability in both tests after the treatment. In fact, Alzheimer’s patients showed the greatest improvement in all grades”.

The meaning of the results of the research there is real hope for a natural treatment for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. So the next time you cook something with Rosemary, smell it before – your brain will definitely thank you.
