Oakley Carlson became a subject of interest for law enforcement agencies and media after she went missing in February 2021. The 5-year-old resident of Washington lived with her 6-year-old sister, a sibling, and parents, Jordan Bowers and Andrew Carlson.
The girl was reported missing by a resident in December 2021, after which officials from the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office visited the Carlson house to investigate the case.Instead of cooperating with the authorities, Oakley’s parents allegedly refused to let them continue their investigation. While talking to the investigators, the 6-year-old girl said her mother forbade her from speaking about Oakley and that the missing girl “had been eaten by the wolves.” When their other sibling later spoke about Oakley’s mistreatment by her mother, Oakley’s sister agreed to it.
