Lizzo was spotted at the Los Angeles Pride festival in West Hollywood on Sunday. The 36-year-old music sensation showcased her curves in a two-piece outfit from her shapewear line, Yitty. The ensemble included the brand’s Headliner Shaping High Waist Leggings in Pride Prismatic and a matching Headliner Shaping Bralette.
Lizzo, whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, was all smiles as she walked through the streets, accompanied by a makeup artist who kept her glam on point. Her outfit was completed with a pair of furry, tan-colored boots, and she sported a long, tightly waved honey-blonde wig with dark roots and a center part. Her makeup featured carefully shaped brows, pink blush, fluttery eyelashes, and a glossy nude pink lipstick. She accessorized with a large, silver-toned Yitty necklace, flashing her cleavage and a portion of her tummy in the festive ensemble.
Earlier in the day, Lizzo was active on Instagram, sharing her intense workout routine with her nearly 12 million followers. She wore a lavender and navy blue sweatshirt and leggings from Yitty, captioning her post, “BIG GRRRL TWERKOUT OF THE DAY FEAT. @yitty ULTRA LIFT LEGGINGS.”
The event also saw singer Kehlani, 29, making an appearance. She showed up in light wash jeans covered in sparkly stone embellishments and an airbrushed white T-shirt promoting her new album “After Hours.” Demonstrating her solidarity with Palestine, Kehlani added a black and white keffiyeh over her shoulders. Her look was completed with furry hot pink mules, and her face was fully made up as she rode in a red convertible through the streets of WeHo with a small group.
Lizzo’s appearance at the Pride festival comes shortly after she responded to an episode of “South Park” that poked fun at her size. The episode featured the character Eric Cartman seeking the diabetes medication Ozempic to lose weight. In the storyline, a doctor prescribes listening to Lizzo’s music and watching her videos as a remedy, leading to satirical FDA disclaimers about the “side effects” of following Lizzo’s body positivity message.
In response to the episode, Lizzo posted a TikTok clip expressing her pride in promoting self-love and body positivity. She stated, “I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f*** to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f*** I am and put it in their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years. I showed you all how to not give a f*** and I’m going to keep on showing you how to not give a f***.”
The festival marked the start of Pride Month, a time for celebrating and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Both Lizzo and Kehlani used their presence to advocate for inclusivity and self-acceptance, embodying the spirit of Pride with their bold fashion choices and unapologetic attitudes.
Lizzo’s vibrant appearance and energetic spirit at the Los Angeles Pride festival highlighted her commitment to celebrating diversity and promoting body positivity, making her a standout figure in the festivities.
