On Instagram, Corinne Foxx, the actor’s daughter, revealed that her father is healing after suffering a “medical complication” on Tuesday.
‘We wanted to communicate that my father, Jamie Foxx, had a medical problem yesterday,’ Corinne said in a statement released on behalf of the Foxx family.
“Fortunately, he is already on his way to recovery thanks to quick action and excellent care.” “We know how much he is loved and appreciates your prayers,” the statement says. “The family asks for privacy during this time.”
The 55-year-old actor was most recently seen on the set of Cameron Diaz’s upcoming Netflix film Back In Action. The widely anticipated film will be Diaz’s first big-screen project since 2014’s Annie remake, which also starred Foxx.
While Netflix has remained tight-lipped about Back in Action’s premise, an insider said the Charlie’s Angels star and Foxx “have great chemistry” on filming.
A film source said that Foxx influenced her to produce another picture. “When this project came along, and she was pursued by Jamie Foxx, whom she has known and worked with for years, she decided to go for it,” a source said.
Before filming, the actor celebrated his birthday in December by posting a black-and-white snapshot of himself as a child and reflecting on his past.
“Dis big head boy bday and thanks for all the bday shouts #sagseason if it’s my birthday it’s your birthday,” he said in the caption.
