A suspect accused of murdering a Georgia mother of five in a brutal, random attack is a Honduran illegal immigrant who was caught and released at the southern border by the Biden administration in March 2021, according to a Friday report.
Fox News noted that David Hector Rivas-Sagastume, 21, has been under a deportation order since July 2023, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He now faces a capital murder charge in the death of 52-year-old Camilia Williams, a mother of five and grandmother whose body was discovered dumped in a wooded area, authorities said.
Williams’ family told local media that she had mentioned being followed by a man in the days leading up to her death. Authorities have not yet established any prior connection between the suspect and Williams.
According to an arrest warrant obtained by Fox Atlanta, Rivas-Sagastume allegedly attacked Williams in Marietta, placing her in a chokehold and rendering her unconscious sometime between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. on March 12. After she lost consciousness, he reportedly told police he placed both knees and his full body weight on her neck, ultimately causing her death. READ MORE
