Bruce Springsteen’s Previous Health Issues
When Springsteen announced that he would be back on the road with the E Street Band, fans were ecstatic since the singer had undergone serious throat surgery a few years back. The “Glory Days” singer had been open about some of his health issues, like his long battle with depression and unusual physical illnesses like chronic numbness on the left side of his body.
One of the worrying things that happened to the singer that had the potential of affecting his career, was the damaged disks in his neck that untied his vocal cords and exposed his throat.
This meant the “My Hometown” singer had to undergo a serious surgery, which he admitted was “nerve-wracking.” But he was fortunate to have everything go well for him, even though he was not allowed to sing for three months.Springsteen assured fans he still had time to continue doing what he loved. There was no information on what might have caused the numbness the singer experienced, but it was believed that he might have suffered what is referred to as a “pinched nerve.”
This is usually accompanied by pain that runs through the shoulder and arm and causes weakness of the muscles, which happens when the nerves in the neck are irritated. Springsteen has survived many health scares, and we wish him a full recovery and for his loyal fans to still enjoy watching him perform his music live.
