Two years ago, the tiniest baby in the world, weighing 268 g and 22 cm tall, was born in Japan. After five long months of persistent nursing and treatment, the baby left the hospital walls with his parents. In one of the hospitals in Tokyo, the smallest man in the world named Riusuke was born. None of the doctors was sure that the child would survive. But, nevertheless, the hospital staff did everything possible to make the miracle happen. The baby was nicknamed “mini-miracle”.
Immediately after the birth of the child was placed in a special apparatus for premature babies. The baby was fed with a tube. In addition, his mother constantly expressed milk, in which the nurses moistened a special swab and brought it to the child’s mouth so that at least a small portion of useful substances entered the baby’s body.
The mother of the smallest child in the world admits that this period was the most difficult in her life. After all, no one even gave her hope that Riusuke would recover. The child’s skin was completely translucent, so she could not even touch her child. But when the weight of the baby began to grow little by little, the happiness of the woman knew no bounds.
