The “WAP” singer was born on October 11, 1992, in Manhattan, New York City, and was raised in The Bronx. Cardi became popular after her posts and videos went viral on Vine and Instagram. Today, she is one of the most influential rappers of all time.
The rapper released her debut studio album “Invasion of Privacy” in 2018, and it won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Cardi became the only woman to win this award as a solo artist. Her fame has stood the test of time as even today, the rapper is an internet celebrity.
In 2018, the mom of two made a post saying her faith in God is strong, as much as people think she is “crazy” and “ghetto.” She added that when she is going through hard times or when God is testing her faith, she prays to God with passion. Cardi shared this message alongside a quote that read:
“You better WATCH those people that BOUNCE BACK from EVERYTHING that was meant to DESTROY them, Those people are God’s people and they are NOT to be played with.”
In the past, Cardi has been criticized for her songs, especially “WAP,” which critics found to be too sexualized. Cardi has also opened up about having butt injections and a nose job done. The rapper had her first butt injections in 2014.
