By 1963, she was cast as “Mary Poppins,” and her career skyrocketed. The English native said people thought she lived a luxurious life in Windsor Palace when, in reality, she had been working from a young age.
The actress said her singing voice gave her purpose, and without it, she would have been a “sad lady.” So, one can only imagine what Andrews must have gone through when she underwent throat surgery.Andrews has a cyst growing on her vocal cords and went through a life-changing surgery that unfortunately went wrong and ended her singing career. It left her with damaged vocal cords and a horse voice.
