A story about Matt LeBlanc, who put his career on hold to spend time with his daughter.

July 28, 2023

Matt LeBlanc is remembered for his role as Joey Tribbiani in Friends, which brought him fame due to his charisma, humor, and the famous catchphrase: “How you doin’?”

But away from the spotlight, the actor faced difficult moments. He was financially struggling, and his daughter was diagnosed with a disease at just 8 months old.

Matt LeBlanc didn’t dream of becoming an actor. His passion was motorcycles, and he had studied to become a carpenter.

After dropping out of college, he moved to New York to become a model, but his height wasn’t suitable. Despite the difficulties, he managed to get roles in TV commercials and some TV series. However, it was Friends that catapulted him to stardom.

The actor was nearly broke before the success of the show. During the casting process for Friends, the producers were torn between him and another actor. The success of the show made him famous, but behind the scenes, his life was marked by his daughter Marina’s cortical dysplasia.

After Friends, Matt LeBlanc dedicated himself to his daughter and stepped away from the limelight. Difficult years led him to a nervous breakdown. However, thanks to his love for his daughter and his resilience, he overcame the dark times and found happiness again.
