Things are not looking good for RINO South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, a controversial figure who has frequently clashed with President Trump on key issues and is now projected to lose the majority of Republican votes in the upcoming primary election, according to a recent poll.
For context, according to press accounts, a Pulse Opinion Research poll published on May 27, 2025, confirmed that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) may not stand a chance in next year’s primary, with a reported 57 percent of Republican primary voters saying they would not vote for him “if the election were held today.”
Furthermore, Breitbart reported that a majority of voters in South Carolina described themselves as “dissatisfied with Lindsey Graham ” and “just as likely to vote for a more conservative, America First candidate.” In addition, a reported 43 percent of poll takers said that they would vote for Mark Lynch, a MAGA, America First candidate, instead.
Additionally, Lynch announced he would run against Sen. Graham on February 5, 2025, openly criticizing Graham in an interview with Fox Carolina. Lynch said that Graham “kept his mouth shut while Republicans in the senate pushed the Russia Hoax against Donald Trump,” adding that the RINO senator “has spent decades pushing massive fraud, waste, and abuse with his pet project at USAID.”
Furthermore, Lynch accused Sen. Graham of refusing “to fully fund the border wall,” adding that the senator “even joined Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer in blaming Donald Trump for the January 6th fiasco.” Continuing, Lynch said that South Carolina’s citizens “deserve a God-fearing, conservative businessman to fight alongside President Trump against the powers of evil that have such a tight grip on career politicians.”
Concluding his statement, Lynch described Sen. Graham as “a traitorous, back-stabbing flip-flopper…who pretends to put America first when the next election comes around.” He added that over the course of his 30-year political career, Sen. Graham had been “working for the enemy the whole time,” adding, “He is not one of us; the people have raised their voices to bring me into this race, and I’m answering their call. It’s time to send Lindsey Graham home.”
Moreover, according to press accounts, President Trump previously called Sen. Graham a “RINO” after Graham described pardoning individuals involved in the January 6, 2021, incident at the U.S. Capitol Building as “inappropriate.” In response, President Trump said that Sen. Graham “Doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about.”
Furthermore, Newsmax’s Rob Schmitt asked President Trump to weigh in on Sen. Graham’s comments, saying, “Lindsey Graham said a couple days later he thinks that’s inappropriate. What do you think?” President Trump responded by saying that Sen. Graham was “wrong,” adding, “I mean, Lindsey’s a nice guy, but he’s a RINO. Lindsey’s wrong.”
