Oftentimes, a child more closely resembles one of their parents instead of both. Recently, a couple on TikTok shared a video that sparked much debate between social media users about how much a child should resemble both parents. Followers of this controversy were left divided in the end.
On April 22, 2023, TikTok user Raina SaNita shared a video on the app, using one of the filters to compare her baby’s face to the child’s supposed father. The video started with an image of the face of Raina’s child, which slowly morphed into the child’s presumed father. In the end, the dad turned away from the camera with what seemed like disbelief
Raina titled the video “Stop denying,” and captioned the entire thing with, “PROVING to my [baby daddy] that our daughter does look more like him.” Although Raina claimed the clip unequivocally showed that the baby was his, the alleged father didn’t seem too convinced, and neither did the comment section.
After the test, Raina’s comment section exploded, with people waiting on the edge of their seats to find out whether her partner truly was the dad.
People commented on the video, saying the baby was definitely not his. Some people pointed out that the baby seemed much too white to be the child of the black dad. One wrote, “Ok, I’m going to be that person. That baby is too white to be his.” Many other people echoed this statement. Other people suggested a paternity test, with one person noting, “He needs a DNA test.”
Meanwhile, Raina shared another video showing how much she looks like the baby, and some people seemed to agree that the dad looked more like the child. One person wrote, “I see it clear as day he better claim that baby.”
After Taking the Debate to TikTok
With thousands of users egging for a paternity test, Raina and her partner eventually went to settle the debate once and for all. In a third video, the supposed dad sat holding the little girl while a pair of gloved hands approached with a swab. The dad willingly opened his mouth for a sample of his DNA to be taken.
After showing her and her partner taking their little girl for paternal testing on April 29, 2023, the mother went radio silent. With his swab complete, the person taking the samples produced another swab and slowly approached the little baby girl who sat quietly while a sample was taken from her. The whole procedure was quick, but the answers took a while…CONTINUE READING
