Today is actor Paul Giamatti’s birthday.
A Oscar-Nominated actor, Giamatti has held several memorable roles throughout his career. Comic book enthusiasts will know him best as indie comics icon Harvey Pekar in American Splendor, the film adaptation of Pekar’s biocomic. His second comic book performance, while smaller, was certainly splashier as The Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Giamatti’s other memorable roles include Sideways, The Illusionist, Saving Private Ryan, and John Adams. He currently co-stars in this summer’s latest blockbuster, San Andreas, alongside The Rock.
