Kelly Clarkson recently opened up about her weight loss journey during an enlightening conversation with Whoopi Goldberg. She revealed how she lost weight, surprising many who thought it was solely through diet and exercise. Clarkson also disclosed her heaviest weight during the discussion.
During a segment on her show, Kelly Clarkson and her guest, Whoopi Goldberg, discussed their weight loss journeys. The “Sister Act” star first revealed her use of a popular weight loss injection to shed pounds.

Clarkson admitted to using a drug as well, but not the well-known injection, Ozempic. “Mine is a different one that people assume, but I – I ended up having to do that too,” Clarkson revealed. “Everyone thinks it’s Ozempic. It’s not, it’s something else. But it’s – it’s something that aids in helping break down the sugar.”
The revelation sparked a flurry of reactions online, showcasing a mix of support, curiosity, and criticism. “All these celebs that are supposed to be role models saying they lost weight through ‘clean eating, working out everyday, will power’ BS [sic],” an upset person wrote.
A second speculated, “I wonder what meds she is taking then,” while a third expressed, “Shame on her for not telling what drug she is taking for her weight loss.”
Yet, some responses highlighted a shift toward understanding, writing, “She led people on so I’m glad she finally admitted it.” Another appreciated Clarkson’s candor, “I respect her for admitting it.”
Others advocated for Clarkson’s right to privacy with their responses. “This is HER business and her choice!” and “It’s really no one’s business, though.”
The support continued with other social media users emphasizing the longstanding relationship between celebrities and medical assistance for personal enhancements. “Stars have been using pharmaceuticals for decades. Let her live her best life,” claimed one person. Another agreed, writing, “Her body. Her choice.”
Clarkson’s revelation undoubtedly came as a shock to many as she previously highlighted diet and exercise as the reason for her slimming down from weighing 203 pounds at five feet and three inches tall.
