In September 2009, the Indonesian island of Sumatra was buzzing with curiosity and amazement. Ani, a woman, gave birth to a baby who turned out not to be a «baby» at all. He weighed over 9 kg at the moment of his birth! The boy’s name was Akbar, which means «big, great» in Arabic.
The small giant grew to a height of 60 cm. The boy was immediately crowned Indonesia’s newborn champion. Unfortunately, the cause of such a hero’s birth is not blood and mother’s milk. Because Ani is diabetic, the baby’s weight was influenced by excess glucose. Ani had to have a cesarean section due to Akbar’s size, which took about 40 minutes.
The other two sons of the woman were also born rather big (5.3 and 4.5 kg), but they were far from their brother. Now both the mother and the child are in order. True, Akbar’s appetites are still the same, so even his father drew attention to the fact that it would be more difficult to feed such a guy.
