Amanda Holden’s daughter has shared the mortifying moment her famous mum danced naked in the house when a visitor came around.
The TV favourite, 53, is a proud mama to two daughters with husband Chris Hughes: Lexi, 18, and 12-year-old Hollie. Amanda and Chris have been married since 2008 and all live together in a Surrey mansion. But it seems even having Amanda as your mum comes with its downfalls, according to her kids.
Famous for showing off her incredible figure, Amanda is not afraid to strip off. The Britain’s Got Talent judge regularly delights her fans with several sizzling social media snaps.
However, Amanda’s naked antics once left her youngest daughter cringing. On Friday (March 8) Amanda and her kids made an appearance on Heart FM’s radio show to mark International Women’s Day.
Chatting to co-host Jamie Theakston, her two daughters soon shared their most embarrassing stories involving Amanda. Hollie, 12, began by saying: “The most embarrassed my mum has made me was when she was dancing around the house completely naked…”
Amanda watched on, cringing at her daughter’s comment. Hollie added: “Then she made me get the door as she scrambled to put some clothes on. Thanks for that, mum!”
Amanda’s eldest daughter Lexi, 18, then shared: “One thing I wish my mum would stop doing is interrupting me all the time. She’s always butting in halfway through a sentence.”
She went on: ‘If I’m trying to tell a story, she tells the ending for me. I bet she’s dying to interrupt me right now! So, mum – stop interrupting.”
Amanda’s own mother Judith, 73, joined in on the fun and called in to reveal an annoying characteristic about her daughter. She said: “Amanda’s worst habit is that I can never get her to sit down for five minutes to have a rest and a coffee. She’s always looking for something to do. She’ll get the sweeping brush out, she’ll get the hoover out.”
Heart FM star Amanda has previously confessed to stealing items from Lexi’s wardrobe – and taking the skimpier outfits for herself. She told The Mirror: “There’s this sequined… I wouldn’t even call it a bikini top.
“‘No, you’re not wearing that to Reading Festival, but Mummy can have it’, so Mummy’s got it, and waiting for a moment to wear it. It just about covers the bits up top that you would expect it to cover, but it was definitely not for my daughter.”
