A woman made 3 simple changes every day – lost 150 lbs and made an amazing makeover

We think we can all agree on something: Losing weight is not an easy task at all. To do it right, you need discipline, determination and focus.

For 37-year-old Amanda ‘Mandie’ Wood, the following three things made her weight loss journey an effective process – and she managed to lose 150 pounds in 2 years.

Mandie started her process in the fall of 2015, when she got tired of feeling exhausted and transparent all the time. At that time she weighed 350 pounds.

Amanda felt it was time to change her lifestyle completely and consulted with a nutritionist who helped her balance her diet. Together they made a plan for the size of her meals, carefully monitored her calorie intake, and went over tips for healthier meals.

The next step was training. After several failed attempts to motivate herself to create a regular training routine, Mandie examined the possibility of a personal trainer. This was a turning point.

“Now going to the gym is one of my favorite things – I like to push myself to try new things and lift heavier weights”, Mandie said.

Amanda said it was essential for her to find the right balance and set realistic goals.

“Keeping everything in proportion was very important”, Mandie explained. “Losing 5 lbs is much easier and achievable than losing 200 lbs as I wanted at first”.

In the end, she urges people to be nice to each other, because in reality no one is perfect.

Mandie also has a good and simple advice for anyone with a low self-esteem who is overweight or just wants to change his life. “No one is perfect. You will have days when you want to give up, days when you get out of the routine, or days where you have difficulty – it’s normal! Just don’t give up. Give yourself some rest, then return to your routine with the next meal or workout”.

Mandie felt tired and had low self-esteem. Her weight loss program has changed everything.

Her first rule was to eat smaller meals and change her daily menu.

“I get 35% of my calories from carbs, 25% from oil, and 40% from protein”, she says.

The second step was to hire a personal trainer and start working out at the gym.

“It saddens me to even say I never admitted to anyone how fat I was”.

“Now going to the gym is one of my favorite things to do”.
