One of the keys to being healthy is maintaining an alkaline body. An easy way to do this, and therefore reduce the risk of cancer, is to prepare alkaline water at home.
You may have seen them in health and alkaline stores for sale. You can buy this water, but they are not cheap.
A bottle here and there will not be terrible, but to absorb the health benefits of this water you need to drink them every day – and this is what will help prevent the cancer.
There is an easy and inexpensive way to prepare alkaline water at home, but first let’s talk about why it’s so important.
In the 1930s, Dr. Otto Warburg, a Nobel laureate in chemistry, discovered that cancer cells do not grow in the presence of oxygen.
“All normal cells need oxygen, but cancer cells can live without oxygen, avoid 35 percent of its oxygen cell and within 48 hours it can turn into a cancerous cell”, according to Dr. Otto Warburg.
In an alkaline environment there is a lot of oxygen, which is one of the reasons why alkaline water can prevent or fight cancer.
In case you were wondering, the acidity or alkalinity of a substance is measured by pH. You may remember from high school chemistry classes that pH is between 0 and 14, where 0 is the most acidic, 14 is alkaline, and 7 is neutral.
The ideal state is that the body can maintain a pH level of 7.4 environments, which is on the alkaline side. That’s what you want.
Unfortunately, with the food we eat today, the chemicals we breathe at any given moment, and the stress we feel, the body is usually at the acidic level.
And that’s bad!
If you eat unhealthy food and lots of sugar, you don’t get the nutrients your body needs. Processed foods and sugar, along with caffeine and alcohol, create alot of acidity. This can push your body further along with the acidic side.
According to Dr. David Williams:
“Maintaining an alkaline level is a constant struggle, mainly because of the acidity of the body, and the acidity of the food we consume”.
Acidic body can lead to digestive problems, exhaustion, weak immune system and weight problems.
Dr. Williams notes that an acidic body by definition has a lower oxygen level, so the symptoms of an unbalanced pH may include:
1. Chronic exhaustion
2. Shortness of breath
3. Sighs often
4. Muscle aches after short walks
5. Feeling you don’t have enough air or oxygen
pH tests can check whether you are acidic from the inside. The pH level in your mouth is almost identical to the pH level in the blood, and you can do the test easily and without needle pricks.
Consuming alkaline foods can help the body return to its balance. In addition, it’s recommended to drink alkaline water on a daily basis to maintain optimum health.
