A young girl grew up to be a country music superstar. Fans hailed her a beauty despite undergoing a facial procedure that saw her stitched up several times.
In April 2017, the famous star posted a throwback photo from her childhood on Facebook. The picture showed her beaming young self in a white bunny costume.
She wore her long blonde hair down and sported a bangs hairstyle, which can be seen under the costume. The girl captioned her post, “Happy Easter! Hope the Easter Bunny brought you all some yummy treats!”
Fans commented on the social media upload, with one person writing, “So cute! Hope you had a Happy Easter, too.” One fan was excited about seeing the Hollywood star’s childhood snapshots.”You were so precious. Finally getting to see some of your younger pictures,” wrote the user. While another Facebook follower penned, “Little did she know where she would be today. Such a great role model, Christian lady, and a great singer.”
Despite succeeding as a world-famous singer, the girl’s friends once revealed that their music teacher told her she would not make it in show business.
Her former Scout leader, Kari Coleman, divulged not everyone had paid attention to her talent, sharing what the young girl did after hearing such from her educator:
“Her music teacher didn’t think she was talented. She dropped out of choir one year and started taking aerobics.”
Every time the young girl would tell people that she would be well-known one day, they always doubted her – even though they acknowledged that she had a great singing voice.Coleman revealed when everyone sang in school, they only did it for “fun,” while the young girl took it more seriously. She blew the audience’s minds when she sang in a play portraying Mother Nature in second grade. “[…] Even when she was small, she was very good,” said Coleman.
The young girl attended Northeastern State University, where she briefly sang with a country music group. She majored in journalism and planned on pursuing a career in television news. However, she opted to audition for “American Idol” in 2004, and her mother revealed in a September 2018 interview that she hoped appearing on the reality singing competition would provide a platform for her daughter to be recognized so she could land a job at a news station.
The girl’s mom also happened to be her teacher in school and divulged that her parent was “hard” on her because she was her daughter. She saluted her during the “Teacher’s Rock” special on CBS in August 2012.
The future star won “American Idol” in 2005, and her singing career took off. After making a hit album, she soared as she made a few others, touring worldwide while winning several awards.
Who Is the Girl Who Became Famous after Winning ‘American Idol’
The young girl who became a star after appearing on “American Idol” is Grammy Award winner Carrie Underwood. She recently posted a gallery of photos from her performances in Las Vegas on her Instagram and described the experience as an “incredible night.”
Fans flooded the comments section on the September 24, 2023, post and complimented her. One Instagram follower commented, “You are the most beautiful woman in the world besides my daughter, and she sings your karaoke.”
“BEAUTIFUL CARRIE UNDERWOOD,” wrote one other person alongside a heart emoji. While another said, “You’re such a beautiful and talented lady. I love you so much, sweetheart. A fourth user penned, “YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL.”
Despite the compliments about her beauty, Underwood once said she looked different following an incident. In November 2017, she fell on the steps of her house in Nashville and broke her wrist. The month after, the blonde beauty disclosed that she also suffered severe facial cuts that needed many stitches. The Oklahoma native reportedly revealed in a post to her fan club members that she had not been ready to discuss that part of her injuries because of the “uncertainty” around what would happen after the incident.
She admitted the freak accident reshaped her life completely. Following a surgery she underwent on the night of the fall, Underwood disclosed the doctor told her husband they put between “40 and 50 stitches” on her face.
This led to her missing her performance at the Country Rising benefit show soon after. Weeks after the ordeal, the “Before He Cheats” hitmaker shared she was healing but did not look the same.
Underwood is married to NHL player Mike Fisher, whom she wed in July 2010. The couple shares two kids, sons Isaiah and Jacob. She had suffered miscarriages before and asked God to bless her while carrying her second child as she was frustrated that she kept losing her babies. He heard her prayers.
