You have to admire a father who would go the extra mile for his daughter, even if it meant appearing silly in the process.
At his daughter Jessica’s bat mitzvah, dad-comedian Mike Hanley consented to share the dancefloor with her for an epic father-daughter dance.
Hanley is cautious about showing off his dance abilities.
But he relents and holds his daughter’s hand as «My Girl» plays on the radio. The guests are clearly captivated by the occasion as the two gently dance to the romantic tune.
They do, however, have a few tricks up their sleeves!
The music switches to Whitney Houston’s «I Wanna Dance With Somebody!» in the blink of an eye, and Jessica sings along while her father stands about, slowly shaking his head.
But this is only the beginning of one of the most entertaining father-daughter dances ever!
The pair had arranged a revolving soundtrack in advance, and they begin to rock out to «Mambo No.5» before Soulja Boy’s «Crank That» comes on.
Dad knows how to move!
Then they go vintage with a Jackson 5 classic before «Greased Lightning» appears.
Hanley, a skilled comic, dazzles the audience with his funny antics, particularly his inability to keep up with the music. It’s safe to assume that the audience enjoys it.
Mike’s webpage absolutely describes him.
«Mike Hanley’s unique style of high-energy, full-tilt comedy has left audiences all over the world erupting in laughter.»
He clearly enjoys being laughed at, so what better location for him to do it than on the dance floor in front of a group of teenagers?
Do you believe the dance is over? Consider again!
The two begin to stalk-like zombies among Michael Jackson’s «Thriller» before performing hand flips to the «Macarena.»
From performing «Kung Fu Fighting» to grooving out with Miley Cyrus on «Party In The USA,» these two showstoppers provide plenty of fun.
