She claimed that the follow-up will have dancing, music, and, of course, sex.
She stated in another interview that she would not work on the sequel «unless it’s perfect.»
She said that several other original cast members would appear in the movie. Baby is a good number of years older. Other original characters will appear, according to Grey.
She claimed that there are no plans for the movie to use a different actor to play Johnny Castle. «Whatever occurred did occur, and it will never occur again. Johnny won’t ever be replaced. There will never be another Patrick, she continued, adding that this sequel needed to stand alone. It’s quite challenging.
At the age of 57, Patrick Swayze passed away in 2009. He received a pancreatic cancer diagnosis 20 months before he passed away. Famously, Grey and Swayze disagreed with one another. She discussed their connection in detail in her memoirs, Out Of The Corner, after his death.
If Swayze were still alive, she wrote, «I would say, ‘I’m so sorry that I couldn’t just appreciate and luxuriate in who you were, instead of me wishing you were more like what I wanted you to be’.»
