To love a song and really feel it when it is being played – is a wonderful thing. Music can change our mood in one moment, and can lift us when we’re down.
In the case of Dane Miller – he isn’t only elevated when a song that he loves is being played, but he also likes to sing along with it.
In 2017, when he was 9 year old, Dane – who suffers from Down’s syndrome, was in the car when Whitney Houston’s huge hit “I Have Nothing” was played on the radio.
The song is undoubtedly one of Dane’s favorites so he began singing with it. He just didn’t know that his beautiful performance was being recorded.
Millions of people from all over the world have watched the YouTube video with him singing, and if you haven’t seen it yet, then you have to – it’s amazing!
Dane Miller became famous throughout the world in 2017 when his father photographed him during a road trip.
Dane, who was then 9 years old, whose biggest love in life is music, heard the classical Whitney Houston song from 1992, which is included in the soundtrack of the movie “The Bodyguard” – and immediately began singing it.
“A month ago we saw a documentary about Whitney Houston, so he started downloading her songs and that’s the song he got stuck on”, Dane’s mother, Danna Miller, told CBS.
Dane sang along with the song in a wonderful way and did not miss a note, providing a show that touched the hearts of millions of people all over the world.
Thousands of people left comments and encouraged him to continue singing.
“Only by reading the reactions, they are so sweet, it moves me so much”, the mother, Danna, said.
She also said that Dane inspired other families with children with Down’s syndrome.
“More families with children who have Down’s syndrome posted photos of their children”, Danna said.
