Elon Musk recently revealed that widespread fraud is reportedly occurring within federal entitlements programs such as Social Security. According to Musk, the fraud is so pervasive that it’s “utterly insane.” Musk, who leads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has been on a mission to identify and cut wasteful government spending.
Last week, Musk provided an update on X, explaining the alleged fraud he discovered within various entitlements programs. “At this point, I am 100% certain that the magnitude of the fraud in federal entitlements (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, Disability, etc) exceeds the combined sum of every private scam you’ve ever heard by FAR. It’s not even close,” he wrote.
The Tesla founder previously wrote on explained that there were over $100 billion per year of entitlements payments to individuals with no Social Security Numbers or other identification.
